Alright Besties and Bros tell me what you think! If an engagement is called off who gets the ring? Does the woman keep it or is she expected to give it back to the gentleman? Is that ring considered a gift or a "this is for you on the contingency that we get married"? Is the ring not given as a symbol of the engagment and once you get married you get the band right? So if that's the case then the engagement ring belongs to the woman to keep...right? 

What do you think....should you not want to keep something that reminds you of someone that broke your heart or a failed relationship? Would you look at it as just jewelry if it doesn't work out? Is it supposed to be returned if he is still paying on it?
