What happens when saving souls is forgotten because using the church as a savings account has gotten more important? When the Shepherd loses sight of the souls he's not only responsible for but is assigned to save gets lost behind the need to be important? The need to be in the lime light. The need to franchise. What happens when they forget about the intimate and genuine reason as to why they were called in the first place because now they are so busy trying to make a name for themselves? Does that mean the souls have to catch the wave or get left behind? What do you think Besties, if the pulpit is only focused on one thing but is tasked to be a multi-tasker does that mean they are no longer fit for the job? Let's talk about it......

Member Posts: 1 | Lives are at stake and risk! We can’t be more concerned with numbers and photo ops that the church loses sight of the purpose of the church. We were given specific instructions and the “business” side of church ha ms caused an inability to see what we’re doing is shaky. Let God promote your platform. You don’t have to do it yourself!

I totally agree. I think that a lot of times we get in God way and we don't even realize that's what we are doing. We say we're called to ministry then once we get in good we stop letting God lead us on how to do what we're called to do and we began to have our own visions and we lead with our own ideas. A lot of times we pray for God to do "something" for us then we start to adjust or try and help and speed up the process....bottom line is if we ask Him to do it we should back up and let Him do it, or fix it. If we say He's called us to do something we should always seek Him so that He can direct us in whatever the "call" may be. Thanks for chatting with us......
